Week Seven: Glass
So week 5-8 will go towards winning the November prize, which again is a $200 gift card to Cameragraphics. Your entries for this week need to be taken this week. Submitting entries that were taken before this week will result in your membership being terminated.
The goal of Project 52 is for you to approach photography with joy, to learn to look at things a little differently. So I’m going to try to focus us on being intentional photographers in November.
Also a bit of a recap, Rylan is currently leading the filed with 4 whole points for the month. But it’;s not to late to catch him y’all. If you buckle down and jump right in you too can be in the running.
Properly exposing glass is really difficult. It takes some forethought.
This weeks assignment takes some intentionality and is technically tough to boot. I want you to take a picture of glass, under either artificial or manmade light. I’ll give you a bonus point if it’s light you create (a lamp, a flash, whatever). And I want to not see you in the reflections of the glass.
It’s hard to properly expose glass. It’s harder still to properly expose glass with flash. And doing all that without your reflection in it, thats just whew! You can thank Nelson for this by the he reminded me of the nightmare effort this assignment can be.

This is four week in a competition that will run all of November, the prize will not be awarded until December. Entries for this week must be submitted by 8 AM November 11th
All prizes must be picked up in person at the studio. If you don’t live near here I don’t know that you will want to compete but you are welcome to.
Prizes are not transferable or saleable.
Your entries should be shot the week of the contest. Entering work shot prior to that week will disqualify you from future OAF contests and may result in termination of your membership.
This prize will only be awarded if there are at least 10 different nonemployees entered in the contest this month.
